Ross Essence

Ross created the Essence fly rod series for the new participants of the sport of fly fishing. The Essence rods will provide them with an outstanding experience that will no doubt get them hooked to the sport.

The four piece fly rods in the Essence lineup are inexpensive and have characteristics much like the fly rods that cost hundreds of dollars. The R-1 graphite design of the Ross Essence fly rods is a medium-fast taper action that is perfect for accommodating all casting styles.

The casting is super smooth, precise and powerful on the Ross Essence rods. The four piece design features rod piece alignment dots for easy assembly and a durable Grade A cork handle. These fly rods have half wells grips on the 3 wt. through the 6 wt. rods with a fighting butt, so you won’t lose your grip when hauling in the big trout.

There are twelve rods in the Ross Essence family, ranging from a 7 foot, six inch length up to 9 feet in length with a line weight from 3 on the shorter rods to 11 weight on the 9 foot rod.
