The Shimano Crucial fishing rods were designed because walleye and bass anglers asked for light, responsive and powerful rods that offered optimal performance with a diverse range of techniques in mind. The Crucial casting rods are ready for action and can handle anything from drop shotting and shaking to throwing crankbaits. You will get amazing sensitivity from the Crucial rods thanks to a combination of high modulus IM-9 graphite construction and Fuji reel seats that are streamlined. Select models feature an exposed blank reel seat that you finger comes in contact with the blank for a very comfortable feel. Every Shimano Crucial rod is fitted with Fuji Alconite guides that are some of the lightest and toughest on the market. This material has an 80% greater compression strength and is 20% lighter than aluminum oxide. The crankbait rods have a very sturdy backbone and a soft tip that encourages the fish to inhale the bait before becoming hooked. The guides on the Crucial rods are wrapped with Gubebrod thread for added strength and have very comfortable and shaped Grade A cork handles.

There are a wide variety of poles available in the Shimano Crucial series that range from the 6 foot 3 inch CRC-63M that is ideal for using when you use spinner baits, to the 7 foot, CRC-C70MH rod that is the perfect rod when casting with crankbaits.

The CRC-76H is a 7 foot, 6 inch long pole that is the perfect rod to use when doing fast action flipping with heavy lures.
