Shimano Cumara

Shimano Cumara
Shimano’s Crucial fishing rod series has been a huge hit and it has elevated Shimano to be a serious contender as a leading fishing rod manufacturer. Before Shimano created the Cumara rod, the manufacturer spoke to dealers and the media to find out the most requested features anglers want and that included reduced weight, more sensitivity, and rods that were designed to fish bottom contact baits where the added sensitivity would be a great advantage. Shimano finally released the new Cumara series that feature an IM-10 blank, Fuji Sic concept guides, a custom minimal fore grip, custom split reel seats and a weight that is 10% lighter than the already lightweight Crucial series. The carbon implementations in the handles assist in reducing weight and increasing sensitivity on the spinning rod version. The casting models strive for total access to the blank, which is accomplished very well. The Shimano Cumara rods feature an great looking split grip implementation. The hook hanger is very innovative as it cannot be seen on the blank-they are integrated into the grip. The Cumara rod has a soft touch paint finish and a light layer of gloss. The Cumara rods are designed to be application-specific, but after extensive testing, it is a known fact that these rods can be used for a wide range of baits as well as techniques. The Cumara rods are outstanding at fishing plastics and can also very easily pull double duty cranking.

The Cumara rods are ideal for bottom bouncing that you do when bass fishing. Whether you are dragging or rigging, the Cumara is built to give you maximum feel and an enhanced grip. The butt cap on the Shimano Cumara is custom etched.

The Shimano Cumara fishing rods have set the bar one notch higher in the fishing rod industry and has the competition running back to the drawing boards.
